Fred is a light orange, playful kitten around 7 or 8 months as of January 2018. He and his brother, George, were left outside to fend for themselves when their family moved away and left them and half a dozen other feral cats behind. His foster mother trapped him and had him neutered as a feral cat, so he is ear tipped. However, Fred had contracted an upper respiratory infection, and when he was taken to the vet, he put his little head in the palms of the vet tech and just purred and purred. He did the same when the vet examined him, so it was quite clear he wasn't a feral kitten. He and his brother George have been living with their foster mom ever since and practicing playing with everything and learning how to be good house cats. Fred's house is rather quiet, so he can be a little standoffish when meeting new people However, if toys are involved, he warms up fast and can purr so loud you can hear him across the room. He is a rather quiet kitten but will cry for attention if you ignore him too long. He is friendly with other adult cats and walks up boldly to any cat around, but he has never met small children or dogs. He is completely litter box trained. Fred loves his twin brother George and they would prefer to be adopted together. He eats Science Diet Kitten food.
Adoptions are at the Petco in Fairfield, 1370 Holiday Lane, on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and adoptions twice a month at the Petco in Novato. Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. If you are interested in a specific kitty, please contact us to make sure he/she will available for you to meet at catinfo@catalesrescue.org If you can't wait until then to meet any cat or kitten, contact catinfo@catalesrescue.org.
