Pepper and her brothers Cinnamon and Chili are special kittens.
All three siblings came to us from the Benicia Shelter. These kittens have been raised with dogs, kids. A healthier bunch you cannot imagine. Pepper is a silver tabby with distinctive orange markings along her head and spine that give her a very unique look. She is very insistent on being with her people. She will follow you arond the house and when she is very content she will even give kisses!
The special thing about these three is that they have had a positive test for FeLV. Feline leukemia is not cancer in a cat but rather a virus. Due to the testing available we have to wait until she is 6 months to retest and deny/confirm the diagnosis. Many kittens are exposed to the virus and beat it! Our vets are fairly certain that will be the case with these guys as they haven't been sick a day in their lives! Just to be sure these kittens need to go to home that have no other cats. The virus is only contagious to cats.
Adoptions are at the Petco in Fairfield, 1370 Holiday Lane, on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and adoptions twice a month at the Petco in Novato. Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. If you are interested in a specific kitty, please contact us to make sure he/she will available for you to meet at catinfo@catalesrescue.org If you can't wait until then to meet any cat or kitten, contact catinfo@catalesrescue.org.
