Wilma is one our seniors.  Various vet estimates put her between 8 and 12 a year ago so that would put her at a maximum of 13 now.  (9/13/2016).  She came to us after her owner died in Dixon in 2014 and left 3 cats roaming.  Wilma is the last unadopted.  Sometime in her past she suffered an injury to her right hind hip which results in a a slight gimpyness.  She is a big cat, quite tall, and keeping her weight down is essential to helping that hip. She seems to get along pretty well now but may need arthritis or inflammatory medication in the future.  She suffers from flea dermatitis which is easily dealt with with flea topicals regularly.

Being an old girl, she is pretty sedate.  She does like head rubs and petting toward the front of her body but can get activated with full body petting.  Experienced senior cat owners would be best as they understand that senior can be a bit grouchy.  She will nip but has never drawn blood.  She is also extremely fussy about her litter box and needs a high sided large box due to the issues with the hip.
