Appa is a 2-year old Siamese Mix, named for the flying bison from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Cow is a 2-year old Tuxedo, named for his markings and his "maaoowwws" Raised as indoor kitties their whole lives, Appa, Cow and their 3 littermates were dumped outside after their original owners moved out of state. A group of neighbors has coordinated efforts to rescue and rehome this group, with 2 successful placements so far. Initially Appa was initially skittish and would run at any sign of movement, while Cow walked right up to introduce himself. They have learned to trust people again, after a few food bribes, patience and lots of head scratches. Now they desperately want to be indoor only kitties and invite themselves inside! Appa and Cow are always nearby and watching their foster parents' front door for anyone coming and going. They run to greet us and will ask for wet food quite often :) Both of them are extremely affectionate; they will give you kisses and head boops until they get ALL the attention! They are fairly independent but can be seen cuddling together during nap time. Appa and Cow’s siblings have found furever homes, and these boys deserve the same!
Adoptions are at the Petco in Fairfield, 1370 Holiday Lane, on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and adoptions twice a month at the Petco in Novato. Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. If you are interested in a specific kitty, please contact us to make sure he/she will available for you to meet at catinfo@catalesrescue.org If you can't wait until then to meet any cat or kitten, contact catinfo@catalesrescue.org.
