|
Tank was born while in our rescue. His mom was a homeless cat that was trapped by our rescue in order to get her fixed. Once trapped, we realized she was pregnant and kept her safe so she could give birth weeks later. Tank is one of the six babies she delivered.
Tank was adopted quickly and lived with a family with children for several months. Although it seemed to be the perfect match, when the weather got cold, their pet boxer puppy was brought into the house. The puppy wanted so badly to play that Tank become uncomfortable and nervous. He would defend himself which wasn’t always pretty.
I was Tank’s foster when he was a baby and he is back with us while looking for his forever home. We have a dog and he does just fine with her. They sleep within inches of each other. He doesn’t find the need to be her friend or her enemy. He just goes about his business.
Tank likes to be next to you. He loves being part of a family. He is litter box trained and hasn’t had any accidents – even in his two story home. He does not seem to have any interest in going outside so there is no need to “hurry before the cat get’s out”.
Adoptions are at the Petco in Fairfield, 1370 Holiday Lane, on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and adoptions twice a month at the Petco in Novato. Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. If you are interested in a specific kitty, please contact us to make sure he/she will available for you to meet at catinfo@catalesrescue.org If you can't wait until then to meet any cat or kitten, contact catinfo@catalesrescue.org.
