Meet Echo!
Echo is one of our young adult special needs kitties. She doesn't need medication or anything, she just needs someone to understand that even with impaired vision, she is like any other kitty. Echo was brought to us more than a year ago with a very bad infection in both eyes. The infection caused us to have to remove one eye and the other is scarred with a gray haze. We are seeing gradual healing and diminishing of the hazing in her one eye. She can see and navigates just fine on stairs, cat trees and plays with a laser pointer. She doesn't rely on her eyesight as much as another cat would so she does startle if someone or thing comes up on her unaware. I just talk to her alot and that seems to make her much more comfortable. She is definitely a tortishell and as you know tortishells have their own personalities and she is full of it. She tells my 125 pds Saint Bernard to get out of her way all the time! If you would like to meet Echo, let me know as she is not always at adoptions.
Adoptions are at the Petco in Fairfield, 1370 Holiday Lane, on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and adoptions twice a month at the Petco in Novato. Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. If you are interested in a specific kitty, please contact us to make sure he/she will available for you to meet at catinfo@catalesrescue.org If you can't wait until then to meet any cat or kitten, contact catinfo@catalesrescue.org.
